Giving back to the community is less about treating those in the DMV individually, but making a broader impact.

Our therapists are dedicated to doing volunteer work in various settings to impact a larger audience. We often write about the profession, present case material to further others' learning, and work pro-bono with those in training. RTCCounseling therapists invest in their professional development beyond what is required by licensing boards, to increase effectiveness of treatment, and better the quality of work we offer to the public.

We open our door to a spectrum of LGBTQIA+ and multicultural identities. We work with openness to and acceptance of the differences that exist between therapist and client in terms of race, beliefs, and sexual orientation or identity.

At RTCCounseling, we strive to give you a clear understanding of how we practice. When you meet with one of our therapists, you'll learn what psychodynamic therapy is, how it can help you, and the limitations of this method. We will work with each person to establish what to expect during therapy sessions and throughout your treatment. If we are not the right place to offer what you need, we will be up front about this and help you get a new referral.

We also believe that it's important to be clear about the cost of treatment, so we openly discuss pricing and rates. We don't hide our rates like you'll see on many other therapy sites.
